Top Ten Tuesday: 2015 Books We Missed

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish.
This week's theme asked us to come up with a list of books that came out in 2015 that we meant to get to, yet never found the time.

When I first heard that we were getting more Valek and Yelena, I couldn't stand it, I was so excited! And then the book was released, and I just kind of pushed it to the side! I'm thinking maybe it's a good thing, cause now whenever I do pick it up, there will be that much less of a wait for the next book!

I'm not gonna lie, I was not a fan of Tiger's Curse. That was one of those books that it seemed like everyone else loved, and I just couldn't get into it at all. However, this one sounds really interesting. Enough so that I am willing to give Houck another shot! But apparently not in 2015, as this book didn't even make it onto my list of books bought in 2015.

Everyone and their mama keeps talking about how good this book is, and I swear I meant to get to it a lot sooner. Someday!

This book didn't seem to get as much hype as other fantasy novels this year, but it still sounds pretty amazing! I have been in a fantasy is blah kind of mood lately, though, so this one didn't make it into the read pile.

Another fantasy novel that looked good enough to buy, but not quite good enough to read yet!

  1. I think I'm going to need to read Illuminae too! It's on so many lists this week. I'm not caught up on Pittacus Lore enough to start Fate of Ten, but this year could be the year.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

    1. I saw great reviews about Illuminae. I need to get to it soon.
I love the Pittacus Lore books! I usually read them same day they are released but last year I've been naughty with my reading :P I've been so lazy and I also found a new love with Netflix.

  3. I haven't read any of these, either. I do want to read Illuminae. I've actually heard that it is excellent as an audiobook.

  6. Great list. Of the ones you listed I have read Red Queen, The Sin Eaters Daughter and Illuminae. I only just read Illuminae, and it was INCREDIBLE!!! Definitely one of my new favourites. I didn't really care for The Sin Eater's Daughter and really didn't understand what all the fuss for Red Queen was about. So, out of those three, I'd only really push Illuminae on you ;)

  7. I've read ILLUMINAE only recently and it was AWESOME, it's definitely one of my top 3 books in 2015!

By the way, I really like your graphics! ;)

  10. A huge yes to Illuminae! I love that book! Same for The Girl at Midnight! I wasn't crazy about Reawakened, but maybe you'll have better luck. I also want to get to Red Queen this year!

  11. I really would like to catch up on the Poison Study series myself. I also included the Sin Eater’s Daughter on my list. Though I did read Red Queen and I’m curious to see how the series plays out. I also just got my copy of Illuminae yesterday. The physical copy is just…it’s insane and the cover alone under the dust jacket just so well done and unique I love it and can’t wait to read it.

    1. I am so guilty of buying books because of the covers! I was at Books a Million and saw Illuminae and I loved how it was made and I had to get it!

  13. The Sin Eater's Daughter and Red Queen have such gorgeous covers! But I haven't read any of these yet either. And I think The Girl at Midnight might also be on my TBR, but I can't remember what it's about lol.
