The origins of Judeo-Christian religion and mythology come together in this mature science fiction page-turner.
To combat overpopulation on the planet Orion, the government releases a birth control virus to keep women from becoming pregnant. Only the brightest and most attractive of their species are allowed to mate. But the virus rages out of control, killing both mother and child. Attempts to develop a cure fail. They only have one option left: search other worlds for advanced societies that may be able to help.
The two most intelligent minds on Orion—and former best friends—Lucifer and Zues band together to search for a secret planet. When they finally arrive, they are greeted with unexplainable death and destruction. This planet is not the answer. Something doesn’t add up. They discover an extra unknown planet in the solar system.
The new planet is covered in lush land masses and bodies of water. Different species of hominids run—and mate—freely. Fire-breathing dragons guard the land. Lucifer is determined to figure out who or what created this planet. He thinks it just might be the key to saving Orion and the Orionites.

Excerpt
Is there a god? Are we alone? What is the meaning of life? Why does it even exist at all? Tales of everlasting life, death, and resurrection dating back to the time of ancient Egypt; epic fables of Zeus and his Olympians waging war with the Titans; Norse poems singing the praises of Odin and Asgard; rumors of angels mating with humans to produce a race of giants; accounts of lost continents and civilizations, great floods, Amazons, and dragons. Did the Sumerians, Egyptians, Hebrews, Greeks, and Norse simply make up all these tall tales? Was Moses really just the world’s first science-fiction novelist?
The answer, of course, is no. These stories of myth and legend that abound throughout your history are all entirely true. I know because I was there. I was at the center of it all, and if I’m honest with myself and with you, it was entirely my fault. This planet was a paradise when I found it, but alas, just as with everything I touch, I brought it to its ruin. So why, after all these thousands of years, have I finally decided to take ownership of all the pain, death, and destruction I have wrought? It would be impossible for you to know this, but there comes a time when even gods must die. I suppose one could call this a deathbed confession.
If you want to know what really happened—the truth about your planet, your god, and your own existence—by all means, please read on. I feel compelled to offer stern caution before you proceed, however. Examine your motivations for learning the truth thoroughly before you turn this page. Truth once learned cannot be unlearned. You would do well to remain ignorant.
Excerpt 2
Zues looked down and ran his right hand down his face again, this time more slowly, more deliberately. He threw back an entire handful of chi seeds and began to grind them between his teeth. He spat out a huge wad of chi-seed shells, some into the cup and some not, sat back in his chair, and stared directly into the eyes of Osiris. The Zueshin who had shown up at the beginning of their meeting was suddenly present in the room again. Osiris felt the mood shift like an invisible tidal wave crashing into his soul.
“There should never be two arc vessels assigned to the same mission. You should know that, Osiris. You need a strong center of command on any mission, especially one such as this. Two arc vessels and two commanders—that is reckless and foolish. I would not recommend it under any circumstances, and I will not be a part of it, no matter who is in command of the research vessel.”
Confident of his plans, Osiris found the nerve to press on. “I have a name that I want to throw at you. I think it may just be a game changer.”
Zues just continued to stare directly into the eyes of the young king, spat in his cup, and eventually muttered, “And that name is?”
Osiris remained steadfast in his conviction as he continued to hold the general’s fiery gaze. He refused to look away and be broken. He bared his teeth to let Zues know that he was serious, sucked in a deep, full breath, the air whistling as it passed between the gaps of his front incisors, and then in a grave and grim tone invoked the name. “Lucifer.”
Excerpt 3
Lucifer was the only thing left in existence; he floated aimlessly throughout space and time for all time. Alone. Alone in the way he always had been, alone in the way he always would be, in the way that he deserved to be. Then way off in the distance, far away from him, he saw a rip in the fabric space and time itself. The heavens had torn themselves apart and revealed a tiny piece of their truth to him. Within the tear in the fabric of space-time, just for an instant, Lucifer thought that he saw a hand.
Was that the hand of…Was that the hand of God?
Even though he still possessed no arms to speak of, Lucifer eagerly reached out toward the hand. He wanted to reach it, wanted to touch it; he had to know it. He stretched out his nonexistent arms and hands farther and farther, crossing immense distances of space and time. He stretched them all the way across the universe, all the way back to the beginning of time itself, but still it was not far enough. No matter how far he traveled, no matter how far he reached out to find God, the rip in the fabric of space and time where the hand of God resided moved farther and farther back and remained just out of Lucifer’s grasp. He was desperate to know God, desperate to see his, her, or its face. It was maddening to be so close and yet so far away. He knew that God was there, but where could it be, why would it be, and how could it be? How could Lucifer find it? How could Lucifer find God?
Then to Lucifer’s horror yet again, the rip in space and time he had so desperately been trying to reach closed up as quickly as it had appeared. Suddenly Lucifer felt his body begin to disembark on a new journey. He felt his molecules begin to destabilize as the atomic bonds broke free of one another. His subatomic particles were torn asunder and disappeared into the void or to someplace else entirely. Now there was emptiness. It was devoid of form. Darkness was over the surface of the void, and the spirit of God hovered throughout this darkness. He had been taken back to the beginning; he had been shown the way.
