Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Worlds We Want to Live In

All my book friends know that I LOVE the 1940s love stories, before anyone say something I DO KNOW TIMES WERE BAD BACK THEN, but I still would have loved to live back in the 1940s
I love the American soldiers, I love how woman dressed back then , I think they were beautiful
and very feminine, nothing like this time. I do try and dress like that sometime, do my hair too.
Good thing that my husband doesn't mind that I dress like that.
Now my 12 years old daughter does, she is embarrassed to go out with me dressing like this.
So whenever she wants to go shopping for clothes I dress up in my 1940s style
and when she sees me like that she says "never mind I don't want to go " haha
It saves me a few bucks haha

Please recommend any WW2 love story in the comments! Thanks!

LOL I am going to ruin Allyson'd beautiful post with my pictures :P

  1. Great list! It reminded me how long it was since I rewatched Pearl harbour. Need to get on that ASAP!

  2. You look so cute in those photos!! I completely agree though, I looooove the style of the 1940s. Have you ever seen the movie Suite Française? It's a sad one, but I absolutely love it. It's based off of a book, but I haven't read it yet. Definitely recommend the movie though!!

  3. For fallen angels, I liked Fallen by Lauren Kate, and I have a new series to check out - They Who Fell by Kevin Kneupper.

  4. I love these pics. You look great! The best book I've read on fallen angels is Angelfall by Susan Ee. That series is soooo good.

  6. I love the photos of you :) As far as book recs, I recently read The Room on Rue Amélie, which is set during WWII and has a bit of romance in it, and thought it was pretty good.

  10. I really like the 1940s too! There's something about the era and the world that authors (or British TV shows) create during this time. I don't know that I'd want to live in the era (because of those hard times), but I like to visit it inside the pages of books. Sarah Sundin is my most favorite 1940s historical fiction authors. :)

Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland.
