My Summer TBR!

This will be my first time that I right something in the blog...I usually just do blog tours and blitz and covers reveals and all that stuff promoting authors.
I never write anything myself because I feel like I need to do this very long post  and write endless words to make it look great but I am the kind of person that is not good with words I just like to go straight to the point.
So yes, here I am sharing you my Summer TBR, that I do hope get to read it. I have until autumn starts that is plenty of time.
I used to read a lot before I had my second child, but with her also came age and I am now 38 years old and work full time and by the time I can sit to read in peace I fall sleep. I sometimes wish I could stay up all night like I used to reading books , but I can't make it that long not even with the help of caffeine. Anyway there are the books that I'm hoping to read this summer.

                                                                            My Summer TBR

Let's start with the books set during WW2 and why they are in my TBR.

This is my corner where I sit to use the computer( pictures below), every time I sit here I stare at the books in the bottom shelf, and on that shelf I had ( I lent it to a co-worker) Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys. The spine of that book always got my attention. I always liked movies and documentaries about WW2, but I never thought of reading a book set in that time in history, the reason was because I thought it would be boring. Yes, me a reader, thought that way. In my defense was because this genre was out of my comfort zone, but between Shades of Gray caught my eyes. So I read it and I super enjoyed it. So after that I have only been in a mood for books set in WW2.
All I wanted to read was books set in the 1940s but I just can't forget about my other babies waiting for my on my bookshelves, I still threw in the list 4 books set in this time.

All The Light We Cannot See:
I heard so many great things about this book  that I had to get it and try it.

In Fairleigh Field:
I saw the book trailer on Goodreads and the book was sold to me in that same moment!

Pearl Harbor:
Why Pearl Harbor?  Because after reading Wait For Me by Caroline Leech  I  was needing more and more romance set in this time. I bought Pearl Harbor and watch it over and over

and over and over and over, it played all the long at home but my kids got tired of it so I had to stop playing it that many times. Anyway I found out there was a book about it ( I have not idea what was first if the book or movie) then I bought it and I am so planing on reading it soon!

Tatiana and Alexander( The Bronze Horseman 2) :
My fourth book ( not in this picture) , but I am working on it , is the sequel to The Bronze Horseman, an epic love story , I just don't know how to describe my feelings for that book and Alexander, it is too much to handle, I am all the time singing his name, my daughter even asked me who Alexander was :P

Crooked Kingdom:
I need to finish this book. I thought it was dragging a lot so I had to stop  plus a spoiler  I saw did not make me want to keep reading it. But I want to finish it. A goal I have set myself was to finish the series I have started.

The Palace Job:
I LOVED Six of Crows and the description of this book reminds me a little bit of it, plus the cover made me think of Six Of Crows when I saw it, so I had to get it :)

And I Darken, The Diabolic and Caraval:
I have only read and heard good things about these books, and it does not seem to be a big hype around them which is great, otherwise I would expect them to be super duper epic and I would probably end up being disappointed.

Passenger:
The Story seems very interesting , a girl that travels through time by playing violin, how cool is that??? If I could do that I would probably go to Scotland and bring Jamie Fraser back with me :P haha

Geekerella:
I like stories about nerds and geeks ( aren't both the same?) even thought I haven't read that many books  like this ,( only one and I can not remember the name) but these stories seem to be cute and very sweet so I am sure I will totally like this!

Thanks for stopping and reading this, my first post since we created this blog ( reviews do not count :P ) Nothing interesting to read , I know, maybe I will get better at writing with more practice!
Thanks and Have a lovely day!

PS: Sorry if there is any typos , English isn't my first language :)

  2. I've been meaning to start The Diabolic--I swear the cover taunts me every time I go to the library :P

Crooked Kingdom does pick up the more you read! It does have a bit of a slow start but it's definitely worth it to keep going!

  4. You should do posts like this one more often! I love reading what is on other's TBR lists and why. And I love your office! It looks like a lovely place to read and work on your blog. I've also got Caraval and The Passenger on my TBR list, although I'm not sure I'm going to get to them during the summer. Great post :)
