Book Tour: Sweet Desire, Wicked Fate (Book 1) by Wray Ardan

Sweet Desire, Wicked Fate (Book 1)
Release Date: 11/08/14

Summary from Goodreads:
Discovering long lost relatives can be a real nightmare. Do you know who or what you're related to?

Jaden Lisette never imagined she might not live to see her sixteenth birthday, or that befriending reclusive triplets and a mentally challenged man could be her only chance of survival. Days after coming to Louisiana, Jaden falls for eighteen-year-old Briz Nolan. Then she falls into a living nightmare when she discovers a side of her family that she never knew existed.

Once she uncovers her family's deadly secret, Jaden is forced into a world she could only imagine in horror movies.

There's nowhere to run.

5 Star Review By Karen Walpole for Readers’ Favorite -
"I never wanted to put this book down. The story was suspenseful and the writing imaginative."

 BlueInk Review -
"...the story’s original characters, well-constructed plot, moving portrayal of teenaged angst and lust, and effective blending of genres should satisfy young adult readers looking for a fresh new fantasy series."

Sweet Desire, Wicked Fate
would not exist if my partner Steven Smeltzer hadn’t created
the strange looking sculptures that eventually became the
Mal Rous in my novel. The day I was photographing the sculptures the story came to life in my head, and I couldn’t make it go away; finally surrendering to their voices I began the journey of writing my firs tnovel..
I found the entire process of writing the book to be a fabulous  learning process—well worth the highs and lows, the frustrating times, and of course the joy of completing book one.
People have asked me about the book’s cover. The flower is an Angle Trumpet, a.k.a. Datura, and the insect is a damselfly. If you have read the book it will make sense to you—in case you haven’t read the book, I don’t want to give anything away, but there is a character in the story called Datura, and another character that identifies with the damselfly.
I’d say the triplets are my favorite characters in the book. Their backstory is alive and well in my mind, and I plan on one day writing a novella about the three women, so everyone else that is intrigued by them will know their
story. But first on my list is finishing up the sequel to Sweet Desire, Wicked Fate.

About the Author
I live on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean with an artist, five cats and a parrot. Sweet Desire, Wicked Fate was inspired by sculptures my partner in life and business, artist Steven Lee Smeltzer created.

With a desire to promote teens that are PONO, Hawaiian for "doing the right thing," I have created the site DaKine Teens+ at

After all, our future lies in their hands.

I apologize that my book list is incomplete. Over the past two years I've read 150+ books, but when I'm not reading, I'm working. Currently I'm writing bk 2 of Sweet Desire, Wicked Fate, and have obviously been a slacker when it comes to posting what I've read. Though as I'm playing catch-up on my list I have decided not to rate them. Just know that if I've posted it, I liked it and would rate it between a 3 & 5. I find it very hard to rate something that I know someone has put their time, heart, and soul into creating.
