Mine by Katy Evans
Betsy says: Because of Remington Tate and his beautiful sexy self. I like that it deals with real life issues that a book hasn't tackled yet.

He's mine, and I'm his. Our love is all-consuming, powerful,
imperfect, and real...

In the international bestseller REAL, the unstoppable bad boy of the Underground fighting circuit finally met his match. Hired to keep him in prime condition, Brooke Dumas unleashed a primal desire in Remington "Riptide" Tate as vital as the air he breathes... and now he can't live without her.

Brooke never imagined she would end up with the man who is every woman's dream, but not all dreams end happily ever after, and just when they need each other the most, she is torn away from his side. Now with distance and darkness between them, the only thing left is to fight for the love of the man she calls MINE. _____________________________________________________________________
Moon Called by Patricia Briggs
Holly says: Patricia Briggs wields her degree in German and history to bring old fairy lore into a modern realm. Moon Called is the first book in the Mercedes Thompson series, and if you haven't experienced the roller coaster ride of Mercy's world yet, you are in for a treat. Not only does Briggs utilize German and Celtic lore to bring the fae into today's world, she treats us to the violence and love of local werewolf pack and the crazy bloodthirsty trials of living near a vampire seethe while introducing readers to the Native American Lore of the Americas. What I love best, is that Mercy is not all powerful, but when she gets knocked down, she bounces back with a snarl.

Mercedes "Mercy" Thompson is a talented Volkswagen mechanic living in the Tri-Cities area of Washington. She also happens to be a walker, a magical being with the power to shift into a coyote at will. Mercy's next-door neighbor is a werewolf. Her former boss is a gremlin. And she's fixing a bus for a vampire. This is the world of Mercy Thompson, one that looks a lot like ours but is populated by those things that go bump in the night. And Mercy's connection to those things is about to get her into some serious hot water... _____________________________________________________________________
Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews
Dawn says: Ok really I'm not highly fond of this book, but as it is the first in the series it is a must read. However the rest if these books are excellent! Kate is such a cool strong headed woman. The story line keeps your attention and well the love interest is seriously smexy!

When the magic is up, rogue mages cast their spells and monsters appear, while guns refuse to fire and cars fail to start. But then technology returns, and the magic recedes as unpredictably as it arose, leaving all kinds of paranormal problems in its wake.

Kate Daniels is a down-on-her-luck mercenary who makes her living cleaning up these magical problems. But when Kate's guardian is murdered, her quest for justice draws her into a power struggle between two strong factions within Atlanta's magic circles.

The Masters of the Dead, necromancers who can control vampires, and the Pack, a paramilitary clan of shapechangers, blame each other for a series of bizarre killings—and the death of Kate's guardian may be part of the same mystery. Pressured by both sides to find the killer, Kate realizes she's way out of her league—but she wouldn't have it any other way… _____________________________________________________________________
Men of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong
Nina says: Who didn't fall in love the the men of this series? I sure did and in this book we get the chance to see a few little glimpses from their sides of the story. Especially Clayton proves again why he is one of my favorite heroes of all time.

A curious child, Clayton didn’t resist the bite, he asked for it. But surviving alone is impossible, until Jeremy teaches human-wolf balance, gives him a home, and welcomes him to the Pack - hierarchical founding family where bloodlines are all, and members face deadly challenges. Clayton narrates 3 tales, "Infusion," "Savage," "Ascension", and Jeremy tells "Kitsunegari." _____________________________________________________________________
Monster by Francette Phal
Anny says: I love her, her books ties you in knots! You find yourself loving and hating both characters at the same time! I hated Dom for being so cruel at the beginning but admires Eden for standing up and protecting their unborn child from Dom's cruelty.

Accidental Gold digger.

Circumstance forced Eden Mercer to sell herself to Dominic Armstrong for half a million dollars and in return she is to play the dutiful wife in public and submit to him completely behind closed doors.

The Tyrant.

Dominic is Ruthless, manipulative and sadistic but Eden is determined not to break under his cruelty. But how does one persevere when in the clutches of a Monster?_____________________________________________________________________
The Marriage Bargain by Jennifer Probst
Alice says: Because who doesn't love a hot steamy romance with a handsome Billionaire?!

A marriage in name only...

To save her family home, impulsive bookstore owner, Alexa Maria McKenzie, casts a love spell. But she never planned on conjuring up her best friend's older brother—the powerful man who once shattered her heart.

Billionaire Nicholas Ryan doesn’t believe in marriage, but in order to inherit his father’s corporation, he needs a wife and needs one fast. When he discovers his sister’s childhood friend is in dire financial straits, he offers Alexa a bold proposition.

A marriage in name only with certain rules: avoid entanglement. Keep things all business. Do not fall in love. The arrangement is only for a year so the rules shouldn’t be that hard to follow, right?

Except fate has a way of upsetting the best-laid plans… _____________________________________________________________________
Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
Bernadette says: Because it is the best, most marvelous book I have ever read.

My name is Katniss Everdeen.
Why am I not dead?
I should be dead.

Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Gale has escaped. Katniss's family is safe. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding.

It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to overthrow the Capitol. Everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plans--except Katniss.

The success of the rebellion hinges on Katniss's willingness to be a pawn, to accept responsibility for countless lives, and to change the course of the future of Panem. To do this, she must put aside her feelings of anger and distrust. She must become the rebels' Mockingjay--no matter what the personal cost. _____________________________________________________________________
Magic Study by Maria Snyder
Allyson says: Because once you fall in love with Yelena and Valek in Poison Study, there can never be such a thing as enough of them.

YOU KNOW YOUR LIFE IS BAD WHEN YOU MISS YOUR DAYS AS A POISON TASTER...

With her greatest enemy dead, and on her way to be reunited with the family she'd been stolen from long ago, Yelena should be pleased. But though she has gained her freedom, she can't help feeling isolated in Sitia. Her Ixian background has changed her in many ways—and her newfound friends and relatives don't think it's for the better....

Despite the turmoil, she's eager to start her magic training—especially as she's been given one year to harness her power or be put to death. But her plans take a radical turn when she becomes involved with a plot to reclaim Ixia's throne for a lost prince—and gets entangled in powerful rivalries with her fellow magicians.

If that wasn't bad enough, it appears her brother would love to see her dead. Luckily, Yelena has some old friends to help her with all her new enemies.... _____________________________________________________________________
