All my book friends know that I LOVE the 1940s love stories, before anyone say something I DO KNOW TIMES WERE BAD BACK THEN, but I still would have loved to live back in the 1940s
I love the American soldiers, I love how woman dressed back then , I think they were beautiful
and very feminine, nothing like this time. I do try and dress like that sometime, do my hair too.
Good thing that my husband doesn't mind that I dress like that.
Now my 12 years old daughter does, she is embarrassed to go out with me dressing like this.
So whenever she wants to go shopping for clothes I dress up in my 1940s style

So whenever she wants to go shopping for clothes I dress up in my 1940s style

It saves me a few bucks haha

Well a world full of sexy fallen angels would be great! I love books about fallen angels too. If you have good one to recommend post it on the comments!
Well I love World of Warcrat!
I am obsessed with it! I would love to live in this world and be a Night Elf!
My Night Elf Shadow priest!
Great list! It reminded me how long it was since I rewatched Pearl harbour. Need to get on that ASAP!
ReplyDeleteThat is my favorite movie! I love Rafe!
DeleteYou look so cute in those photos!! I completely agree though, I looooove the style of the 1940s. Have you ever seen the movie Suite Française? It's a sad one, but I absolutely love it. It's based off of a book, but I haven't read it yet. Definitely recommend the movie though!!
ReplyDeleteYes! I saw it and I have the book and I loved it!
DeleteFor fallen angels, I liked Fallen by Lauren Kate, and I have a new series to check out - They Who Fell by Kevin Kneupper.

I have They who fell! Need to read it soon! Thanks for stopping!
DeleteI love these pics. You look great! The best book I've read on fallen angels is Angelfall by Susan Ee. That series is soooo good.

ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks for stopping by earlier today!
I love the photos of you :) As far as book recs, I recently read The Room on Rue Amélie, which is set during WWII and has a bit of romance in it, and thought it was pretty good.
ReplyDeleteThey had such style back then, it was a different world. I love how people dressed up more?
ReplyDeleteFun list!
I've had my eyes on Powerless - I'll have to look it up!
ReplyDeleteSuper interesting list, I definitely love those old fashions too!
ReplyDeleteI really like the 1940s too! There's something about the era and the world that authors (or British TV shows) create during this time. I don't know that I'd want to live in the era (because of those hard times), but I like to visit it inside the pages of books. Sarah Sundin is my most favorite 1940s historical fiction authors. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland.
